ABOUT OUR COMPANY

Company History

The company began as Homer's Home Maintenance and grew in size and diversity each year in business. The company started out offering a "home check service" to Homeowners that could not watch over their homes personally. As those houses and owners needed and wanted repairs or improvements, we met those needs. The demand became greater and greater for all phases of construction, electrical work, plumbing, excavating and our original home check service. We met those demands by increasing our staff and equipment to accommodate every phase of construction. In 1987 we became a Sub Chapter S Corporation operating under the name of Homer's Construction, Inc. to reflect more accurately the scope of work we do.

Our Location

Homers Construction, Inc. is located on Route 739 approximately 1-1/2 miles North of Hemlock Farms. Here we maintain our office and shop where we house our equipment, trucks, tools, supplies and stock merchandise.
Our office is also at this location which includes the latest equipment including computers, copier, fax, inkjet plotter for AutoCad drawings, scanner and base radio set for communication with our staff out in the field.

Home Check Service

We currently provide Home Check Service for approximately 150 homes in Hemlock Farms. Many of those homeowners have been with us for many years and depend on us to meet all of their needs regarding their home, both large and small. They know that all they have to do is make a phone call and we will meet those needs for them, whether they forgot something and need it mailed, or want the heat and hot water turned on prior to their arrival. If we find their roof leaking, they know we have the capability to fix or replace it. Customer Service

Our office is staffed regularly during the week. During non-business hours, all phone calls are answered by a professional answering service. Our staff is radio dispatched for emergencies and communication during the day, and we also offer 24-hour emergency service through the answering service.

Construction Services

Additions, alterations, kitchen and bath renovations, hot tubs, saunas, decks, screen porches, garages, frozen pipes and water damage repairs, driveways, water line repair using our sonar listening and detection equipment to locate leaks, all phases of plumbing and electrical work and more. We regularly drain in the fall and restore in the spring the water service to many of the homes in Hemlock Farms.
